Pismo Terrace
50-Unit Affordable Housing Complex in San Luis Obispo County
A large multifamily residential construction project less than two miles from the beach, Pismo Terrace consists of two new three-story buildings totaling 50 affordable apartment units. Each living and gathering space features contemporary, durable cabinetry designed for longevity. Materials used for the sink cabinets include a marine-grade plywood substrate covered with high-pressure Formica plastic laminate; these cabinets are sealed to the floor with silicone sealant to resist water leaks that would typically ruin lesser-quality cabinetry. The heavy-duty rounded edges not only bestow an appealing look to the cabinets, but they also prevent chips. The Blum hinges allow doors to open to 170 degrees, which satisfies Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance. Removable toe kicks beneath sink cabinetry and cabinetry height further meet the accommodations required by ADA.
Our commercial team comprises a well-rounded group of cabinetry experts who can perform all duties needed for a large multifamily residential construction project. California Woodworking’s highly trained project managers turned around quick, accurate estimates, performed field measurements, and provided computer-aided drawings, CNC fabrication cut lists, and constant job site coordination. Our installation team worked full time at the project site in Pismo Beach. We also provided certified payroll for this prevailing wage project, met all insurance coverage certificates requirements, and conducted regular safety meetings. All of this worked to ensure that the onsite workflow was consistent, well-communicated, and on time. Most importantly, our cabinetry is built right here in the USA.
